Signing of bilateral cooperation between DR Congo and Rwanda
The DRC, represented by its Minister of International Cooperation and Regional Raymond Tshibanda, and Rwanda, represented by its Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Louise Mishikwabo signed Saturday at the Grand Hotel Kinshasa, the bilateral cooperation agreements in the 'Following the work of the 4th Joint Commission Great DRC-Rwanda held from December 17 to 19 in Kinshasa.
The experts discussed during three days, the ways and means to improve cooperation between the two countries and laid the groundwork for deepening in all spheres, especially in the sanitation business climate issues to migration, judicial cooperation, refugee issues, etc..
The two delegations expressed the wish that 2010 be placed under the sign of restored confidence and beneficial bilateral cooperation. In his closing speech, Raymond Tshibanda, urged the experts to meet the agreed timetable and to put into practice all the outcomes of this work.
He also stressed the obligation to hold sectoral meetings before the next Joint Committee.
For his part, Minister Louise Mishikwabo said that his country is ready to operate an airline-Kinshasa and Kigali to speed with the DRC, the exploitation and marketing of commodities of common interest, including natural gas.
The holding of the 4th Joint Grand Committee, 21 years after the 3rd, is one of the recommendations made by Presidents Kabila and Kagame in the top of Goma (DRC-Rwanda) in July.
The 5th Great Joint Committee will be held in Kigali, on a date to be agreed.
